    Lindsay Batek is a naturopathic doctor (licensed in Washington State) trained at Bastyr University and experienced in utilizing botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, environmental medicine, physical medicine, and homeopathic medicine to guide clients to better health.

    Naturopathic doctors receive 4 years of post-graduate training in medicine. They have the broadest scope of training in holistic medicine. The training shares some similarities with that of Western medical doctors in the conventional medical coursework taken, including the basic sciences, and laboratory and physical clinical diagnostics. The training differs from that of Western medical doctors both philosophically and in the healing methods utilized.

    Naturopathic doctors view the body systems as intimately interconnected and therefore understand and interpret symptoms as such. Naturopathic doctors give recommendations that not only directly address causative agents, but also stimulate and strengthen the body's own natural healing abilities. This in turn makes the body less vulnerable to disease and improves overall quality of life.

    Naturopathic doctors employ botanical medicine, homeopathic medicine, physical medicine, hydrotherapy, nutritional supplements, and diet and lifestyle changes to achieve these goals.
